wtf squirrels! XDDDDD

today, as i was gardening in the garden (if that isn't strange enough), these three baby squirrels fell out of my house's drainage pipe. wtf, right? HAHAHA. don't know where the mother went. finna call Animal Control. they were making funny noises. they sound like pigs.

this is Doolittle.

this is Jasper.

it was hard to take a picture of Jasper 'cause i don't like driving potentially dangerous animals into corners. RABIES! maybe.

which leaves Squirrel #3, Reginald. HAHA. Reginald.

nasaan ang nanay nila? hm? my mom wanted to feed them something, but i was like, "NO! SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST! NATURAL SELECTION!" XD

edit: they had nothing else to do, so i guess they went to sleep.

"get a dog."

so i'm sitting here watching this hella random movie on Youtube called Night of the Running Man, and this brilliant exchange comes up between Scott Glenn and some poor sap who's trying to mess with him. thought i'd share. obviously, the scene was only written to show audiences how badass Scott Glenn can be. XP

the Poor Sap pulls a weeny little gun on Scott Glenn, apparently trying to steal his wallet or whatever.

Scott Glenn: "Wha-what do you want?"

Poor Sap: "What do you think I want?"

Scott Glenn: "A date?"

Poor Sap: "Aw, shit. Some kinda fucking faggot. I want yer wallet! The CASH! Credit cards, Einstein! Hm, I might just blow yer guts out for the fun of it."

Scott Glenn: *looks at Poor Sap's weeny little gun* "What, with that?" *he pulls out a knife and puts out Sap's eyes*

Poor Sap: "YAAARGH! HELP ME, MAAAN!!! I CAN'T SEE!! I CAN'T SEEEE!!!!"

Scott Glenn: *while walking away* "Get a dog."

HAHA. here's the link. the scene above starts at about 6:40.

movie blog, suckas.

hokay, ladies and gentry. it's time for that movie blog i promised myself i would write. in this installment, i have decided to 'review' the two latest movies i watched: The Haunting in Connecticut, and You Kill Me. enjoy.

Movie numero uno: The Haunting in Connecticut (2009). opened yesterday. stars Virginia Madsen, Kyle Gallner, and Elias Kotas (dammit, i thought he looked like Robert de Niro. HAHA.)

"Oh, is it that weird movie with the tree coming out of the boy's mouth?" -Munir

so, lemme just say right now that my expectations for this movie were like not high at all. in this day and age (maybe it's the economy) PG-13 horror movies tend to suck like an Electrolux. but this movie was great decent! oh joy!
GENRE: horror.

THE PLOT: just like every single other freaking film that starts with "The Haunting," this movie is about a wonderful happy family that gets pulled into the bowels of hell when one of their members gets possessed by a paranormal force. demon? ghost? Uncle Jerry? who knows? these movies don't tell us crap until like, right before the climax. but in this movie, the whole possessed thing is sadder 'cause the kid who gets possessed has cancer. sob. however will they cope?

THE GOOD: not so bad acting. unlike lesser horror movies, the actors actually get you to care about the fate of the characters. it does have its obligatory 'scary-jump' moments; IMHO, however, i thought Jeycy's screaming was scarier than anything in the movie. >.> uses horror movie cliches better than other horror movies. also, all loose ends are tied up by the end, so unless you're Helen, you won't be confused.

THE BAD: unfortunately, it is yet another horror movie that takes itself too seriously, utilizing endless cliches, trynna get you to think about its underlying philosophical issues, like "Why do good things happen to bad people?" screw that. PG-13 horror movies are not the place to philosophize. better scary movies are available.

DOPE PERFORMANCE: check out Kyle Gallner as Matt, the possessed cancer kid. his poignant performance is the best thing about the movie.

DOPE QUOTE: don't remember any. lol.

FINAL RATING: 3 out of 5. good job, director Peter Cornwell. this movie doesn't suck.

Movie numero dos: You Kill Me (2007). stars Ben Kingsley, Tea Leoni, and...Luke Wilson? wtf. haha.

"Isn't that the guy who played Ghandi? Why is he being a badass?"

GENRE: black comedy. by that, i hope you know that i do not mean comedy with black people. i mean comedy that has darker undertones than regular comedy. besides, all the people here are like white, so yeah.

THE PLOT: get a load of this. a hitman for the Polish Mafia (yeah, i said 'wtf' too) turns into too much of a drunk to be able to kill people efficiently, so his boss/uncle sends him to San Francisco to sober himself up. as hella bored Mr. Hitman attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and works his new part-time job as a mortician, he meets this one girl who has the balls to get him back into the killing business. siiick.

THE GOOD: slick plot. nice witty dialogue. pretty damn funny. didn't think you'd ever believe Tea Leoni and Ben Kingsley getting together? well, they do here, and they're so good their relationship is almost completely believeable. oh, and a nice satisfying happy ending. man, who knew movies with a hitman as the protagonist could make you feel so good about life?

THE BAD: HAHA. okay. so like, watching this movie requires a heavy dose of suspension of disbelief. i mean, in this movie, it seems like most of the people at the AA meetings are more like, "OMG You're a drunk, that's bad!" rather than "OMG You're a hitman? YOU KILL PEOPLE?!" so, you, dear watcher, must just get used the fact that everyone in the movie seems to accept the hitman's murdering, but not his drunkeness. if you can do that, you'll have a lot of fun. if you can't, you suck. go watch something else. XP

DOPE PERFORMANCE: Ben Kingsley is always good, and does a great job here as hitman Frank, keeping true to character all throughout the movie. who knew that the guy who played Ghandi and dweeby Iztack Stern from Schindler's List could be that...dope? HAHA. also worth noting is Tea Leoni, who is pretty funny herself. didn't know she had it in her. o_o especially after Jurassic Park 3.

DOPE QUOTE: there are hella, but this is my favorite: "I chased him for two blocks and finally shot him in a Dairy Queen parking lot. That ain't no way to die." -Frank. amen to that, Frank. amen.

FINAL RATING: 4/5. now THIS is my kinda movie. >:D

thus ends THE WORST WEEK EVER.

thank God it's spring break. after bombing the Garrison project, taking some hella hard tests, losing my marching shoes, and, today, running late to Hill's class, i think i deserve a good two weeks off. too bad, though, 'cause I HAVE DETENTION THE DAY I COME BACK. >,<

and that's why this spring break had better be like hella good. well, just give me my daily dose of Libera, and it should be just fine. XD speaking of Libera, i hella want to go to their So Cal concert on the 19th, but that's becoming increasingly unlikely since it's the day after our first spring comp. why oh why can't the damn choirboys just come to San Francsico? D: that being said, this song is the shit:

Sanctus (Based on Canon by Pachelbel) - Libera/Robert Prizeman
you go, Ed. you hit that high C. HAHA.

the sky is making me sleepy.

or perhaps it's because i've been staying up too late recently. either way, last night was THE WORST NIGHT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. omfg. ahahaha. stayed up until midnight to try to put together the damn School of Athens project for Humanities. to make a long story short, everything that could have possibly went wrong with that project did. freaking Maxwell's law or whatever it's called. Rhea's powerpoint didn't work, we forgot to give her pictures, i forgot to put the powerpoint on my USB, peoples' Windows Movie Makers started crashing, etc. etc. etc. etc. but i do have to give credit to Rhea, though, for finishing the thing. she's a trooper. now you just have to give me eggrolls on my birthday, Rhea, and we're good. XD

English: practice test in Hill. freaked out with Munir over the Garrison project.

Band: went over festival stuff - Duhbahduh, Man, and Copy. freaked out with Jeycy over Garrison project.

HUMANTIES: presented the Garrison project. shit, those were the longest ten minutes of my life. my group was hella stressing over the project because we tried doing it pretty much in one day. it was freaking retarded. are some snippets of conversation: [not verbatim]

Rhea: "OUR MOVIE IS HELLA BLANK! WE NEED PICTURES!"
Munir: "How are we gonna get pictures?" *sees Lana with all these 'historical' pictures on her laptop* "OMFG SOMEONE GET ME A USB SO WE CAN GET LANA'S PICTURES!"

when the whole 'borrowing pictures from Lana' scheme didn't work...

Munir: "Ahhh WTF are we gonna do now?!"
Jeycy: "I know! Use the sample pictures on the laptop!"
Me: "Wait, aren't those pictures of freaking flowers and wildlife?!"
Everyone else: "I DON'T CARE! PUT THEM ON!!!!"

...and that was why our presentation had these pictures of flowers and shit on it.

Me: *listening to presentation music* "WTF, Rhea! I did not send you this crap."
Rhea: "Your youtube links didn't work! So I had to get some stuff off of iTunes! And THAT DIDN'T WORK EITHER!"
Me: >_O'
Rhea: "Oh, is it okay if I used the first song twice?"
Me: TT_TT

yeah, this is the end of this blog entry. i hella don't even remember what happened the rest of the day. except for that one would-be confrontation that was supposed to happen at school. aha, i feel hella bad for sticking around for it. >.> okay, i'm done.

i was hella happy when Mishter Smish typed my name into the list of concert people he has on the computer. i know i'm hella trippin' again; whatever. i am as ecstatic as the drama people were on their opening night. [yeah, other than that, the day was hella boring, except for Steven's "Manansala Learning 'Curb.'" HAHA. i'll put that up later.]

SPEAKING OF DRAMA, i'm gonna watch them tonight w/ Munir, Ramiel, Kevin, and whoever else decides to show up. it's 'bout ta be dope. XD hopefully i finish my Marte project before then.
